Do you accept the Affordable Child Care Benefit (Subsidy) and CCFRI?

Yes. We accept ACCB/CCFRI in our childcare program, but not at our after school program as we are licensed as tutoring centre. The new Affordable Child Care Benefit is helping more families with the cost of childcare. Now, households earning up to $111,000 may be eligible for savings of up to $1250 a month per child. Benefit amounts are determined by factors like family size, type of childcare and income. Do you offer snacks or hot lunches for students?

Yes. Our Hot Lunch program is catered by a third-party company that prepares nutritional meals for preschoolers. Our hot lunch program only includes lunch, and both morning and afternoon snacks must be brought from home. This is an additional service that families could add to our regular program.

What are Precious Smiles Academy's closure dates?

Precious Smiles Academy is closed for all Statutory Holidays. In addition, Precious Smiles Academy is closed for one week of Spring Break and two weeks of Winter Break following the local school district calendar. Three professional development days throughout the year.

Is there a reduction in fees if my child is away due to sickness, family holidays or vacation?

There will be no refund on monthly fees or any portion thereof, regardless of sickness, family vacation, or school closures.

What age does Precious Smiles Academy service?

Our South Surrey location and Richmond Location offer care for age 29 months to Kindergarten.

Is there a registration fee?

Yes. There is a non-refundable $100 registration fee for all programs.

What is your withdrawal policy?

One full calendar month’s written notice must be given for the withdrawal of your child before the first day of the following month. Notices must be written and addressed to the center via email. Teachers are unable to take verbal notices and are not responsible to convey messages to the school. Parents must make sure their withdrawal notice has reached the manager and they have received a response. E.g. For withdrawal from May 1st, the notice must be given by March. 31st.

Do you allow screen time?

Precious Smiles Academy follows VCH and FH licensing regulations regarding screen time including screen time to maximum of 30 minutes per day. We also offer one movie day per month.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes. One-month deposit is collected upon registration which will be applied to the last month of your child’s attendance.

Our program runs 8:30 am - 5:30 pm Monday to Friday. Early drop in at 8:00 am is also available in South Surrey Location.
